First Baptist Church of Manchester, Connecticut is seeking a Senior Pastor. First Baptist is an established, diverse church that seeks to honor Jesus and proclaim the Good News of His saving power in our lives. First Baptist is located in Manchester, Connecticut but draws its congregants from several different communities in eastern Hartford County and Tolland County. 25% of our congregation resides in Manchester; just over half live in Manchester, East Hartford, Glastonbury and South Windsor, and the balance is from the towns surrounding these.
Our congregants are from a broad cross-section of society, including professionals, tradesmen, white- and blue-collar workers. Our congregation is ethnically and geographically diverse but unified in worship and belief.
We are seeking a Senior Pastor who is able to passionately communicate the Word of God through preaching and teaching, who can lead, engage with youth and young families, inspire and organize staff and lay leaders while providing vision and discipleship; and who can compassionately shepherd, equip, and continue to keep the church unity as they seek to fulfill the Great Commission.
This position requires a M.Div. or doctorate in an area of biblical studies, Theology, or Christian Ministry. Prefer three+ years experience as a Pastor in a growing church.
