Job Description:
Thomson First Methodist Church (a regional congregation of the Global Methodist Church located in Thomson, GA 20 miles west of Augusta, GA) is seeking a full-time pastor/director of student ministries. The successful candidate would preferably have a college degree in a related field and some years of experience. Commitment to historic, orthodox Christianity and the Wesleyan/Methodist tradition is highly important. The position reports to the senior pastor and is responsible for leading and directing all aspects of the church's ministry with students (grades 6-12). The current youth group averages 50-60 in Sunday evening attendance during the school year and is a diverse blend of both churched and non-churched students. Compensation includes health insurance stipend, reimbursable expenses and a house.
