Purpose Statement:
To create and support environments where people pursue healthy relationships and spiritual growth. The Groups Director is also responsible for recruiting, coaching, and shepherding group leaders.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Leader Support and Development
· Connect regularly with group leaders.
· Equip and develop each leader in their role as group leader.
· Work with leaders to monitor health, effectiveness, and duration of groups as well as issues within groups.
· Be available to pastor and serve leaders and groups, as needed.
· Participate in planning, leading, and serving at leader development events (trainings, campus-specific leader huddles, gatherings, etc.).
Leader Recruitment
· Think creatively and strategically about new leader pipelines.
· Connect with potential leaders and provide next steps for development.
· Interview and onboard all new leaders in preparation for each Group Launch.
Group Administration
· Communicate with leaders and maintain accurate leader/member records in system.
· Ensure timely follow-up with leaders, team, and other staff.
· Verify that all group information is current and accurate.
· Actively engage in meetings, cross-functional working groups, and team development.
Spiritual Formation
· Identify and implement ways to help all adults at Gwinnett Church grow spiritually.
· Support and lead, as needed, our different formation environments: Discover, Foundations, and spiritual formation classes.
· Develop and teach spiritual formation content.
· Develop content for spiritual formation tools for adults, as needed.
Other
· Participate in planning, leading, and serving at churchwide Men's/Married/Women's[LB1] events, as needed.
· Assist multicampus team with leader development tools.
· Provide pastoral support for the church (such as at funerals, weddings).
· Serve at churchwide events (Christmas and Easter services, S'more Gwinnett, Nights of Worship, Team Night, etc.).
