OBJECTIVE
Lifepointe Church is a warm and welcoming community of believers from many backgrounds and walks of life. Lifepointe Church has two full-time and one part-time pastors. Lifepointe Church is currently seeking a Senior/Lead Pastor to assume the role of our retiring Senior Pastor. The new candidate should hold like Biblical beliefs, values and precepts found in God's Word to ensure a seamless transition. It is our objective to secure a strategic leader able to cast a vision of growth for the congregation as we look to minister to the rapidly growing community.

QUALIFICATIONS
The Senior Pastor is uniquely called by God and the church members to be the spiritual leader of the church. He is the primary person charged with providing God-given direction and leadership to the church through discernment prayer. The ideal Pastoral candidate must exhibit a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, evident in his daily life and display qualities outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9 and 1 Peter 5:1-4.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bible college or seminary degree required
- Master of Divinity or equivalent years of experience.
- Minimum of eight years pastoral ministry experience, ideally some as a Senior Pastor
- Minimum of three years on a church staff in a leadership role
- Agree with Lifepointe Church's Purpose, Mission, Core Values and Statement of Faith as outlined in our governing documents.
- Pass a criminal record background check

RESPONSIBILITIES
PREACHING: Serve as the primary communicator on Sunday mornings. Seek to discern God's message for the congregation in preparation of weekly sermons. Use professional skills to develop and deliver that message to the best of one's ability. Employ a variety of expository and topical preaching methods. Communicate with love, wisdom, and conviction the truth of the Gospel and illuminating the Word of God.
VISION-CASTING: Seek God's direction and develop His vision for our church in a way that maximizes the gifts of each member of the church body. Seek to find new ways and additional resources to accomplish God's plan for our church.
STAFF LEADERSHIP: Develop and supervise a professional pastoral staff for successful ministry. Provide ongoing leadership development and spiritual oversight of church staff. Seek opportunities for other pastoral team members to preach and develop their leadership skills when appropriate. Be personally involved in selection, goal setting, and evaluation of staff members as needed. This will include both paid and volunteer positions.
CONGREGATIONAL LEADERSHIP: Exhibit strong diplomatic skills and lead within the context of a congregational style of church governance. Be an excellent recruiter of gifted leaders and a strong encourager to all.
MINISTRY/COUNSEL: Exhibit a passion for ministry and reaching the unchurched. Support local and international mission partners. Provide biblically based counseling as needs arise. Coordinate hospital visits as needed in conjunction with other staff members, Elers and Stephen Ministry volunteers.
RELATIONAL: Work with and relate to staff, Elders, Directors, lay leaders, volunteers and the congregation. Have compassion for the triumphs and problems in their lives.
PRAYER: Seek and promote prayer as a priority, both personally and in the life and practice of the church. Model its value to others.
OBJECTIVE: Continually evaluate effectiveness of programs and propose creative ideas for improvement. Offer overall vision to develop and grow ministry.
BUDGET: Participate in the planning of the church budget in cooperation with the Directors. Prepare with the Elders for congregational approval.

SPIRITUAL QUALIFICATIONS
The Senior Pastor must believe:
- The authority of the Bible as inerrant, divine, infallible authoritative word of God.
- Jesus Christ is the Son of God, died for our sins, was buried, rose on the third day, witnessed in flesh, and is the intercessor and advocate for believers.
- The Holy Spirit indwells all believers at conversion and convicts those who do not believe.
- Salvation comes through faith in the finished work of Christ alone.
- The church is the body of Christ fulfilling acts of worship, training, evangelism, and baptism.
- The Lord's Supper is symbolic of Jesus' body and blood, does not confer grace but serves as a reminder of His substitutionary sacrifice for salvation.

Lifepointe began as a prayer group who met weekly in 2004. The Lord inspired them to begin a new church in the northwest area of Hamilton County; a fast growing community.

Job Qualifications:

LEADERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong preaching and teaching skills as evidence of faith and dedicated studies of the Bible.
- Proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, teach biblical revelation and train the church in biblical interpretations
- Serve as one of the Elders and a point person to the congregation regarding administration, planning and growth. Lifepointe Church functions with a plurality of Elders in leadership roles.
- Ensure the equipping and multiplying of leaders and give direction to Pastoral Staff/Ministry Teams.
- Lead the church in discipleship, evangelism and outreach.
- Work with the directors to provide good stewardship of the church budget
- Ability to expand the work of the church and build leadership structures for ministry growth.
- Strong administrative and planning skills will be essential for future church growth.
